Pam's upcoming series for IMT, “Walking the Bodhisattva Path,” will be offered later this summer, beginning July 18. This is not to be missed! We recommend that you read Pam’s book prior to the interview. There will be time for questions. Click the book image to order.

PAMELA WEISS is a Buddhist teacher authorized in two traditions--Zen and Theraveda--and is the first and only layperson in the Suzuki Roshi Soto Zen lineage to receive full Dharma Transmission. After living as a monastic at Tassajara Zen Mountain Monastery, she completed comprehensive training through Spirit Rock Meditation Center to become an Insight meditation teacher. She is a member of the Spirit Rock Teacher Council, a guiding teacher at San Francisco Insight, and a visiting teacher at the Brooklyn Zen Center. Weiss is also an executive coach, CEO, entrepreneur, and pioneer in bringing Buddhist principles and practices into the workplace. She lives in San Francisco with her husband and her little dog, Grover.
ANNA DOUGLAS is the founder of Insight Meditation Tucson, and one of the founding teachers of Spirit Rock Meditation Center. In 1986 she was one of five Dharma students invited to train in Jack Kornfield's groundbreaking program of practice and study for new teachers. For many years her focus in teaching was to guide people in long retreats in the vipassana/insight tradition. In more recent years Anna's teaching has included classes and retreats on aging and dying. She is grateful for the many wonderful opportunities for practice and for teaching she continues to enjoy. This includes offering spiritual guidance to those for whom the Dharma is an ongoing wellspring of spiritual nourishment and inspiration. Even as old age and various forms of decrepitude advance, her deepest wish is that the blessings of Dharma continue to be felt and shared for the benefit of all!
