Exploring Our Beliefs

Exploring Our Beliefs

We can practice for a long time without questioning our assumptions, opinions, expectations or beliefs. They live in us as barely conscious biases or distortions of perception. When we don’t question these ideas we remain stuck in a distorted view of reality. Freeing ourselves from what is untrue is a basic intention of mindfulness.

Join Terry and Anna in a day of identifying and exploring our beliefs using an embodied mindfulness practice and an inquiry process inspired by Byron Katie. By slowing down and directly experiencing how the belief operates in the mind and body, we can discern for ourselves what brings suffering and where true peace lies. From this place we can engage in the world with more wisdom and compassion.

The day will consist of silent sitting and walking meditation, Contemplative Inquiry, a Dharma talk and Q&A.

The daylong is suitable for new and experienced meditators.
